Four men were arrested with packs of methamphetamine and cannabis at Ma'ufanga and Ngele'ia by the Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce.

Deputy Police Commissioner Pelenatita Fe’ao Vaisuai said today on May 17, a 32-year-old man from Ma’ufanga was arrested with one pack of cannabis (0.38 grams), one pack of methamphetamine, drugs paraphernalia and cash. 

On May 20 at around 8:00pm the Taskforce arrested two menf (22 and 32 years) from Ngele’ia, with two packs of cannabis (2.26 grams) and drugs paraphernalia. 

Later at around 10:00 pm on the same day, police arrested a 33-year- old man from Pili with four packs of methamphetamine (1.05 grams). 

All suspects are in police custody to appear at the Magistrate's Court on a date to be confirmed.

The Deputy Commissioner said these arrests should reassure the community that preventing illicit drugs supply is a high priority for Police.

“We will continue to target those who supply illicit drugs within our community, and hold them to account for their crimes. Anyone who may have information about drug related offending to please contact Police Emergency Number, 922,” she said.
