Three soldiers charged in relation to an assault of a man in Vaini in November last year had their case adjourned to May 20.

The accused Paea he Lotu Sika, 'Apolosi Vea and ‘Alunga Maka had their case called at the Magistrate’s Court on Monday,  May 6.

Prosecution said today, the adjournment is for submission of evidence.

Tonga Police had earlier reported, that the victim allegedly threw something at a bus containing the soldiers. This resulted in some of the soldiers getting off the bus and the alleged assault occurred.

Pictures, allegedly of this assault, were posted and circulated on social media, which appeared to be an assault, by uniformed men against this civilian, he said.
