With more than 2000 people on board, Pacific Aria was in Nuku’alofa for a day visit on May 7, after stopping by Neiafu the day earlier.
Berthed at Vuna Wharf, the cruise came with 1411 passengers and 615 crew members.
The passengers mostly from New Zealand were seen walking around the Central Business District, while others hopped on tour buses around the island.
Pacific Aria is on a 10-days Tongan Discovery round-trip from New Zealand, departing Auckland on April 30 and visited Suva and Port Denarau in Fiji before Tonga, according to Cruisemapper.
This is the 13th out of a total of 26 cruise ships expected to visit Tonga this year, stated the Ministry of Tourism.
The cruise ship has left Tonga to return to Auckland.
