Search cancelled for Litani Taufa [1]

Tonga Police has called off a search and rescue operation for Litani Taufa, who was lost at sea on Tuesday, April 23.
Acting Deputy Commissioner ‘Atunaisa Taumoepeau said today, there had been no sighting of Taufa and on April 29 they called off the search at sea and on land.
Search areas had included along the eastern Tongatapu coastline, where the body of Captain Sam Tatafu and their overturned boat was located early Monday, April 22.
Taufa, was the manager of the Ovava Tree Lodge at ‘Eua, owned by the Tatafu family. He was an experienced diver and marine tour guide.
Police earlier reported, the men had left ‘Eua in “3 Boys”, an 8 metre long close haul aluminum boat, at around 6:00am on Tuesday April 23 and were reported missing at 12:30pm after they failed to arrive in Nuku'alofa.
The funeral of Captain Tatafu was held yesterday at the Catholic Cathedral, Ma'ufanga.
