Justice Minister’s case adjourned to after Easter [1]
Monday, April 15, 2019 - 18:12
All cases set down for today at the Fasi Magistrate’s Court were adjourned to April 29 including that of the Minister of Justice, Sione Vuna Fa’otusia.
The Magistrate’s Court office confirmed the lower court did not sit this morning due to heavy rain (no cover for people waiting outside the court). Because it’s a public holiday next Monday, the cases are scheduled for April 29.
The Minister who has been charged with wrongful interference with the course of justice and using threatening language to police officers in a dispute over a stolen cow, was expected to make a response to the charges against him today.
This was after he appeared at the lower court last week and had his case adjourned to today.
The dispute over the stolen cow occurred in January this year.
