Illicit drugs and firearm seized at Pili [1]

Two men were arrested with suspected methamphetamine and cannabis at a home in Pili on Friday, March 29.
Deputy Commissioner Pelenatita Fe’ao Vaisuai said today, a 43-year-old-man from the village was arrested with 3.52 grams of methamphetamine, 0.91 grams of cannabis, cash and drugs paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, 43-year-old from Ha’atafu was arrested with one illegal firearm, .22 rifle and 18 live ammunition.
The arrests are part of the Drug Enforcement Taskforce's continuing efforts targeting those who supply drugs to communities, Dep. Com. Vaisuai said.
“As demonstrated by these arrests by the taskforce, we are focused on capturing and prosecuting those responsible for the harm these destructive drugs cause to youths, families and our community."
Both suspects remain in custody as investigation continues.
