Junior Fa scores first round KO, cements top contender status [1]

Newfel Ouatah and Junior Fa

Uaine Fa Jnr needed only one round to dismantle top-notch French-Algerian boxer Newfel Ouatah in the city of Columbus in Ohio, United States. The victory extends Junior Fa’s undefeated record to 17 wins. Newfel Ouatah entered the bout with a professional record of 16 wins and 2 losses.

Following the fight, Fa was awarded the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) International Heavyweight title, cementing his recognition as a top contender in the heavyweight boxing division.

Fellow undefeated Tongan heavyweight boxer Hemi “The Heat” Ahio fought in the undercard of the event where he secured a devastating 7th round knockout win over his American opponent Ed Fountain (12 – 4). Ahio now holds a record of 13 wins, 9 by way of knockout.
