Cyclone Pola keeps Europa 2 in Nuku'alofa overnight [1]

The cruise ship Eupora 2 overnighted in Nuku’alofa after delaying its arrival on Thursday, February 28 due to a tropical cyclone warning.

The cruise ship with more than 800 passengers (448 passengers and 375 crew) was initially scheduled to arrive from Cook Islands in the morning, but docked at Vuna wharf at 6:00pm, according to the Ministry Tourism.

Operated by a German based cruise line company, Europa 2  departed Friday evening, March 1 for Fiji. 

A total of 21 cruise ships are expected to visit Tonga this year.
