Tevita Moa Taufa (26) is the passenger who died after the vehicle he was travelling in collided a power pole at Fatai, on February 28.

Tonga Police reported the accident occurred at around 1:35 am on Hihifo Road. The driver and a nother male passenger sustained serious injuries and in Vaiola Hospital. Speed and alcohol were allegedly contributing factors in the crash.

This was the first road death recorded this year.
