New building for Fasi kindy [1]

A new building for Fasi moe Afi Kindergarten run by the Free Wesleyan Church was handed over on January 22 from the Government of Japan.

The project funded with USD$84,745 grant financed through GGP constructed the building which includes two classrooms, an office and bathroom facility.

Japanese Ambassador HE Mr Tetsuya Ishii said early childhood education, as recognized by the Sustainable Development Goals, provides an important first step for a child to grow into strong and responsible individual that would uphold Tonga and the international society.

Rev Tevita Latailakepa, Chairman of the Parents and Teachers Association thanked Japan for the generous assistance.

“This brings a lot of joy to our young students as they will now enjoy attending a much safer educational environment.”

Hon Halaevalu Moheofo Aleamotu'a was the guest of honour at the event.
