Haveluloto woman wins $20k Digicel cash prize [1]

Mele Fainga’anuku receives her prize from Digicel's Head of Consumer Sales, Ragigia (Gia) Dawai at Digicel Square, Nuku'alofa. 11 January 2019.

Mele Fainga’anuku (27) from Haveluloto is starting the new year on a high,after being announced as the lucky winner of a $20,000 pa'anga Digicel Tonga Ma’alahi Christmas Campaign cash prize onFriday, 11 January 2019.

Mele was ecstatic to receive the call confirming her win when it was drawn at Digicel Square, and said she will share the cash prize with her parents, and donate to the Carmelite Sisters of Fahefa and the Church of Tonga where she is a member.

She currently works in her family business in screen printing and specialized graphic services.

Digicel Tonga CEO, Francis Thomsen congratulated Mele and said, “The Christmas Campaign was aimed at rewarding our customers during the festive season.

“It could not have come at a better time with Tongans preparing for the new school year and the Annual Church Prayer Week nationwide. We appreciate the loyalty that Mele has extended to being a Digicel customer and we hope that this win will contribute to the year ahead of her.”
