Simione Sefanaia has become the Acting Managing Director of the Tonga Development Bank replacing Afu...’alo Matoto who was recently appointed as a new Cabinet Minister.

Simione took over as the Acting Managing Director position on Friday September 29. He has had a long career with the Tonga Development Bank as the Deputy Managing Director in Operations, specialising in Lending and Business Advisory.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office confirmed that Afu'alo was officially appointed today as the new Minister of Public Enterprises effective from October 2, in a ceremony at his home in Kolofo...’ou.
