Man arrested with illicit drugs at Hofoa [1]

A 22-year-old man from Fahefa was arrested with methamphetamine and cannabis in a car without a number plate in Hofoa on December 11.
The Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce made the arrest around 3:00am, during a targeted patrol which came across the car with no registration number plate, parked on the roadside in front of the Ocean of Light School.
Commander of the Central Police Station, Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said in searching the car, Police found 10 packs of methamphetamine (3.48 grams), one pack of cannabis (0.87 grams), drugs paraphernalia and cash.
“Police will continue to focus on disrupting the supply of these destructive drugs that cause harm to our youths, families and our community and bring those responsible to account.”
“We encourage anyone who may have information about drug related offending to contact the nearest Police station, or ring 23417 or 922.”
The suspect is in police custody as investigation continues.
