Cannabis pot plants found in Vava'u Prison [1]

Four male prisoners have been arrested in connection with 11 cannabis pot plants and homebrew found at Ha'alefo Prison in Vava'u on November 16.
Acting Superintendent Taulango Tapueluelu from Vava'u said they received a report from the prison of what was found within the compound, which led to a an investigation resulting in the arrest.
The prisoners, who are currently serving time, included a 26-year-old man from Ha’alaufuli and a 29-year-old from Tatakamotonga in Tongatapu, who have been charged with possession of the illicit drug.
The other two, a 27-year-old from Vaini and a 20-year-old from Mataika in Tongatapu were charged with the manufacture of four litres of homebrew.
Police acknowledged the assistance by prison officers at Ha’alefo Prison, which led to this arrest.
