Three people were arrested after being found in possession of 100 small packets of cannabis already packed for distribution at a home in Ngele'ia on November 21.

A Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce and police dogs executed a search warrant at the home early morning, where 75.44 grams of the cannabis was seized.

The accused who are charged with possession of the illicit drug include two men from Ngele'ia aged 31 years and 22 years, and an 18-year-old woman from Fahefa.

Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea, Central Police Station, said today they would continue to work with the community to prevent the harm illicit drugs cause and the ongoing criminal activity associated with their use.

“We encourage anyone who may have information about drug related offending to contact the nearest Police station or ring 23417 or 922,” he said.

The accused remain in police custody to appear at the Fasi Magistrate’s Court on November 27.
