Two men injured in bush allotment shooting [1]

A male accused has been arrested in relation to the shooting of two men during a confrontation at a bush allotment at Veitongo on October 21.
Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said today the accused from Veitongo has been charged with grievous body harm.
He said the offence took place early morning when the accused is alleged to have used a .22 rifle to shoot one of the victims (21) on the right leg and the other aged 20 on the right hand.
Alcohol was reported to have been a factor in the confrontation.
Both victims are in a stable condition, said the Acting Chief Superintendent.
