Tonga will observe Constitution Day with a public holiday on Monday, November 5 marking the 143rd anniversary of Tonga's Constitution this year, which was first enacted by HM King Tupou I on November 4, 1875.

The landmark Constitution consists of 115 clauses in three parts including the Declaration of Rights, Form of Government and The Land.

The important day, which falls on Sunday, November 4 will be observed on the next day.
