Tevita Finau Katoa (20) is the man charged with murder in relation to the death of a 40-year-old man on September 26

The victim, 'Asipolo Pita died at Vaiola Hospital a month after being hospitalized for severe injuries, sustained when he was allegedly assaulted by the accused outside a bar and restaurant in Nuku'alofa, on August 23.

Police Prosecution today confirmed the accused appeared at the lower court on Monday, October 8.

His case was adjourned to November 26, to get his papers ready to be submitted to the Supreme Court for trial, as it is under their jurisdiction.

The accused remains in custody. He is from Tatakamotonga but was living in Ma’ufanga at the time of the alleged offence.
