10 arrested with cannabis in Malapo [1]

Ninety-six packets of cannabis and cash were seized in the arrest of 10 people in Malapo, eastern Tongatapu on Saturday, September 22.
Superintendent Sisi Toutai Tonga, Mu’a District Commander said today the seven men and three women were arrested at a bush allotment in Malapo.
All suspects are in custody as investigation continues.
Tonga Police are committed to disrupt and detect the supply of drugs and prevent the harm this illegal activity causes.
He said they rely on the public to pass on any information on drug cultivation, manufacture or dealing. Information about drug offending, either to police stations or made anonymously by calling 23417 or 25147.
