Five students charged in bus station brawl [1]

Five male students have been charged with disturbance in relation to a school brawl that broke out at the bus station in Nuku’alofa on Wednesday, August 29.

Tonga Police said today the accused included three youths enrolled in Tonga College and two from Liahona High School.

The students who have been similarly charged with causing disturbance in a public area were released on bail today.

They are expected to appear at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court on a date to be confirmed.

The brawl between the students was reported to have occured in the afternoon after school.
