Five men released on bail include a police officer Tangata Vea (31) who has been suspended in relation to a drug bust at Ngele'ia.

The suspended police officer and co-accused Viliami Falevai, Langi Ta’ai, Mosese Manu and Fine ‘Aholelei are expected to reappear at the Fasi Magistrate's Court on September 3.

The Police Drug Taskforce seized 8.32 grams of methamphetamine, 1.32 grams of cannabis seeds, cash, electronic devices and a live bullet at the Ngele'ia home on August 10.

The accused have been charged with possession of the illicit drugs and other offences.

They were released on bail after appearing at the lower court on August 17.

The police officer was off-duty when arrested during the bust.
