Hofoa man accused in methamphetamine bust [1]

‘Epuefi Laimani (34) appeared at the Fasi Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 6 charged with possession of the illicit drug methamphetamine valued at around $10,000 pa’anga in street value.

The accused was arrested after police seized 10.38 grams that was packed ready for sale at his home in Hofoa on August 1.

He was further remanded in custody to appear at the lower court on Tuesday, August 7 for his bail application.

Police had also seized cash, electronic devices and Tongan fine mats during the search.
