Teenagers arrested for assault [1]

Four male teenagers were arrested for allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy at a bush allotment in Matahau on Saturday night, July 21.
Chief Inspector Sofilisi Fifita from the Nukunuku Police Station said today the victim who sustained minor injuries was treated at Vaiola Hospital, before being released.
He said police first arrested a 15-year-old boy on Monday, July 23 and charged him with assault.
While, the other three aged 17 and 19 were arrested today and charged each with causing bodily harm.
The four accused from Matahau remain in custody to appear at the Nukunuku Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, July 26.
Police investigation continues to determine the circumstances of the assault, he said.
