Man arrested with meth at petrol station [1]

A 48-year-old man from Kolonga was arrested after being found in possession of two small packets of methamphetamine on Monday, July 2 in Nuku’alofa.
Police said today the accused went to fill-up his car at the E.M. Jones petrol station in the Central Business District.
The accused did not have any cash to pay for the petrol so the workers reported the matter to police. Police officers got there and searched his car and found the methamphetamine.
He was arrested and has been charged with possession of the illicit drug to appear at the Magistrate's Court on July 9.
The continuing Police investigation is expected to confirm the amount of methamphetamine seized.
