New medical equipment for Vaiola Hospital [1]

A gift of new medical equipment and materials from Dongguan City in China were handed over to Vaiola Hospital in Nuku'alofa on June 12.
Infant incubators, birthing and transfer beds, adult and baby scales, mobile sphygmomanometers and hospital trolleys were handed over by the Chinese Ambassador HE Mr Wang Baodong to the Minister of Health Hon Saia Piukala.
The donation was made to assist Tongan people to better recover from Tropical Cyclone Gita and improve their health.
Hon. Piukala said they were grateful to China for its continuous donations to health services in Tonga.
