Mu’a Saints win Polynesian Club Championship in Samoa [1]

Tonga’s champion rugby league club, the Mu’a Saints, travelled to Samoa last week where they defeated the Apia Barracudas to win the inaugural “Polynesian Club Championship” on 2 June.
The Mu’a Saints won the game 36 – 30 in what was a thrilling encounter. The match was drawn 30 – 30 in the final minute before the Mu'a Saints scored a try in the dying seconds to win.
NRL Tonga confirmed that next year’s Polynesian Club Championship will take place in Tonga. The tournament is set to be an annual event featuring a clash between Tonga and Samoa’s best rugby league clubs.
