Police have released the name of Niutoni Langilangi (48) from Kolonga, the Chief Engineer of the MV Tongiaki, whose body was recovered at sea in the Neiafu harbour, Vava’u on June 5.

Police said today that his body is to be returned to Nuku’alofa on Saturday, June 9.

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of his death.

However, report so far stated that other staff had noticed him missing and alleged that he might have fallen from the catamaran on Sunday, June 3. They went out looking for him, assuming he went on land, but when there was no sight, a sea search was then carried out
