Tonga to face Georgia in Pacific Nations Cup [1]

Georgia will compete in the 2018 Pacific Nations Cup and play its first game against Tonga on 9 June in Suva, Fiji.

The Eurasian country defeated the ‘Ikale Tahi 17 – 10 at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England. The ‘Ikale Tahi will be seeking to avenge the loss.

Georgia is currently ranked 12th in the world by the World Rugby, one place ahead of Tonga which is ranked 13th.

Romania was originally scheduled to compete in the tournament but pulled out in the wake of its exclusion from 2019 World Cup.
