Mate Ma’a Tonga will face Toa Samoa on 23 June, the NRL confirmed on Tuesday.

The highly anticipated “Pacific Test” is scheduled to take place in Cambelltown, New South Wales.

Fiji Bati will play Papua New Guinea at the same venue prior to Mate Ma'a Tonga's battle with the Toa Samoa.

Toa Samoa will be seeking to avenge their world cup loss to the Mate Ma’a Tonga last year, while Mate Ma’a Tonga seek to win recognition as Rugby League's "fourth super power”.

Official team lists are yet to be confirmed.
