The Tonga Under-20s team were target practice for the Junior Wallabies in the second round of the 2018 Oceania Rugby U20s Championship yesterday 1 May in Gold Coast, Australia. The Junior Wallabies scored 13 tries and were leading at halftime 48 – 7.
Number 8 Siale Tamo’ua scored Tonga’s only try in the 32nd minute. Centre Sefa Finau was red carded just before full time for allegedly punching an Australian player.
U20s Tonga will play their final match of the tournament against U20s Fiji this Saturday 5 May. The Junior Wallabies and U20s New Zealand will face each other on the same day to decide the winner of the 2018 Oceania Rugby U20s Championship.
