Car agent charged with false pretenses [1]

A car dealer in Longlongo has been charged with obtaining money, reportedly $12,800 pa’anga by false pretenses from a client.
The complainant, a 31-year-old man from Longomapu in Vava’u, filed his complaint with Tongatapu police on April 20.
He alleged that he had visited the female accused and paid her the cash to purchase his vehicle.
Police said today the complainant had not received his vehicle nor recovered his money.
The accused has since been arrested and charged with the offence.
