NZ Police investigate death of Tongan man in Auckland [1]

New Zealand Police are searching for two Tongan male suspects in relation to the death of a 28-year-old father Epalahame Tu'uheava who was found dead on a road in Mangere, Auckland yesterday. A severely injured woman was found next to him and is currently being treated in hospital.

According to New Zealand Police, the woman had been shot.

Detective Inspector Faa Va’aelua of the New Zealand Police said in a statement yesterday that a homicide investigation was underway and that the suspects were Tongan.

“We are confident that this is not a random incident and we are currently following positive lines of enquiries to identify two Tongan male offenders believed to be involved in this incident”, stated Detective Inspector Va’aelua.
