A 67-year-old man charged with attempted carnal knowledge on a child will appear for trial, at the Supreme Court on May 1.

Sione Faka'osifono Fainga'anuku of Tungua who appeared for his arraignment today, pleaded not guilty to attempted carnal knowledge of a child and, in the alternative, indecent assault on a child.

The offence is alleged to have taken place last year. The victim is under 12-years-old.

The trial alone will be held before Lord Chief Justice Paulsen to run until Friday, May 4, in Ha'apai.
