Suicide death in Ha’apai [1]

A 20-year-old woman who passed away at the hospital in Pangai on Tuesday, April 24 has been confirmed to have been a suicide death.

Police reported today the suicide is alleged to have occurred on Monday night, April 23 at a home.

When she was discovered, she was rushed to the hospital where she passed away on the following morning.

This is the first suicide death reported on the outer island this year.
