Kava plants worth $10,000 stolen [1]

Police are looking for kava plants estimated to be worth almost $10,000 pa’anga stolen from two separate plantations in Tongatapu.

A 79-old-man from Nukunuku filed a complaint that 30 of his kava plants were stolen from his plantation at Matahau, on March 19.

Another 52-year-old man from Kolofo’ou reported 81 of his kava plants were stolen from his plantation at Masilamea on April 5.

Police said today no arrests have been made this stage. The police Investigation continues.
