Firearm and ammunitions seized at Fasi [1]

Two men have been charged after being found in possession of a firearm and ammunitions at a home in Fasi on Thursday, March 29.

Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said today three men aged in their 30s and 50s were initially arrested, but only two had been charged at this stage.

A search warrant carried out at this home seized one .22 rifle, ammunitions, drugs paraphernalia and goods, mainly electronic items suspected to have been stolen, he said.

The drugs paraphernalia relates to methamphetamine.

The accused have been charged with unlawful possession in relation to the firearm and ammunitions, as investigation continues.
