Man in hospital after being shot in Fo'ui [1]

A man is in Vaiola Hospital after he was shot in the chest at Fo’ui on Tuesday, March 20. The man claims he accidentally shot himself while cleaning a .22 rifle.

However, Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea stated that an investigation was continuing to determine the "true nature" of the shooting.

This man who has not been named lives at 'Anana. Police stated that he also does not have any license to own a firearm.
