Fangaloto murder accused named in court [1]

A 21-year-old man, ‘Emilio To’a, will appear at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate’s Court on 16 March to face murder charges relating to the death of a young man Siaosi Tupa in Fangaloto on 4 March. 'Emilio is currently being held in custody.

He is alleged to have stabbed Siaosi Tupa during a drunken brawl on Sunday, 4 March. Tupa later passed away from his injuries at Vaiola Hospital.

Police reported that the victim and accused were drinking alcohol together with other people at around 3:30pm when the tragic event unfolded.
