Appeal Court commences on March 19 [1]

Tonga's Court of Appeal  will preside over its first session for the year next week, from March 19-23.

The Court will preside over eight Land and Criminal cases.

One of the land cases is by the Tokaikolo Church vs Pohiva Tu’i’onetoa, the Minister of Finance; the Minister of Lands and others.

There is also an appeal case by the Friendly Island Satellite Communications Company Ltd Tongasat vs the Minister of Revenue and Customs.

The Appeal judges are Hon. Justice Kenneth Handley, Hon. Justice Sir Peter Blanchard and Hon. Rodney Hansen.

Judgments are expected to be delivered on March 28.
