Man charged with murder for stabbing death [1]

A 21-year-old man, who allegedly stabbed another during a drunken brawl at Fangaloto, has been charged with murder on March 5.

Police today confirmed the accused remains in custody to appear at the Magistrate’s Court in Nuku’alofa later this week.

The victim was a 24-year-old man who died on Sunday, March 4 at Vaiola Hospital, after sustaining severe injuries.

Police had reported the deceased and accused were drinking alcohol with other people at around 3:30pm, when the fight took place resulting in the stabbing.
