Siaki Guttenbeil (22) and Mickey Lomu (19) both from Neiafu were named as the two men who died in a fatal crash on a road in Leimatu’a, Vava’u on February 27.

Police today released their names confirming Siaki was the driver and his passenger was Mickey.

The bodies were to be released to families after an inquest yesterday.

The victims were travelling on a road to the airport when their jeep crashed into a mango tree on the roadside, at around 4:00am. They both died on impact. It is alleged that high speed was involved, said police.
