The construction of a new tertiary complex for the teaching of carpentry in Tonga will start tomorrow at the Tonga Institute of Science and Technology, at 'Anana in Nuku'alofa.
The $150,000 complex is funded by the Japanese government under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.
The construction will be carried out by a local construction company, the South Pac Builders Supplies Ltd.
The Japanese government agreed to finance the project in June but the formal signing of the agreement will take place tomorrow before the construction starts.
