Two men have died in a fatal crash on a road in Leimatu’a, Vava’u, this morning, February 27.

The driver and his passenger were travelling on a road to the airport when their jeep crashed into a mango tree on the roadside, at around 4:00am.

They both died on impact. It is alleged that high speed was involved, said a police spokesperson today.

Fire officers were called to help remove the bodies of the victims from the jeep.
