Couple found dead with stab wounds in Lakepa bush area [1]

A couple in their early 50s were found dead with stab wounds to their heads and necks on Sunday afternoon, February 25, at a bush allotment in Lakepa, Tongatapu.

They were Chinese nationals.

A homicide investigation has started and police are looking for the couple’s missing vehicle.

Deputy Police Commissioner Pelenatita Vaisuai said today the vehicle is a silver Toyota Sparky 2000, registration plate L16768.

Police appeals to anyone who have any information about this homicide to come forward or contact police emergency 922, 23417 or the nearest police station, she said.

No other details including the couple’s identities have been released at this stage.
