Appeal Court sits in March [1]

Tonga’s first Court of Appeal session is expected to begin on March 19, in Nuku’alofa.

The session, which usually sits for a week before giving judgments the following week, will confirm the schedule of appeal cases soon after a call over held this week, said the Supreme Court.

Call over had included civil cases between Luani v Nuku, among others that were heard before Lord Chief Justice Paulsen on February 9.

A second appeal session is expected to be held in September this year.
