Murder accused in court [1]

Hateni Kaufusi (32) who is charged with murder in relation to the death of Tolifili Tu'alau (27), who was found near a road with stab wounds, appeared at the Nukunuku Magistrate’s Court on February 8.

The Magistrate ordered that the accused, who was detained at the Nukunuku Police Station, be moved to Hu’atolitoli Prison.

His case was adjourned to Thursday, February 15.

The deceased Tolifili Tu'alau (27) was found with stab wounds, near the road at Fatai. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, at around 10:00pm.

The accused from Te’ekiu is alleged to have been drinking alcohol with the deceased at that village before the incident.
