Pita Alatini to play for Highlander’s 10s team [1]

Former All Black, Pita Alatini, will play for the Otago Highlander’s Tens team at the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens tournament next Friday, February 9. The team will be coached by another former All Black, Aaron Mauger.

Alatini confirmed his selection in a statement today.

The 41-year-old said, “It’s been a while but I can’t wait to pull on the Highlanders jersey again.”

Alatini played for the Highlanders from 1999 to 2001. He moved to Japan in 2003 and retired from rugby in 2013.
