The Gold Coast Titans have signed 18 -year-old Moeaki Fotuaika on a 4-year deal. The deal extends Fotuaika’s current 2-year contract.

The Titans announced the extension in a statement yesterday, saying that Fotuaika would participate as a development player in this year’s season.

Fotuaika said “The four years gives me a great chance to really concentrate on my footy and to perform to the best of my ability.”

“I’m going to do everything I can to learn from the senior members this year and hopefully in 2019 I get the chance to play alongside them”, he added. 

Head Coach Garth Brennan said, “Moeaki is a player who has impressed me since my arrival here at the club. For someone so young to have such a level head on his shoulders is fantastic.

“Although young in age, he has shown me that he has all the attributes to reach the NRL and we look forward to working with him to get there.

“He will learn a lot throughout 2018 and he is an exciting prospect that all Titans members and fans should be excited about.”
