Japan’s Super Rugby team, the Sunwolves have announced the addition of Hosea Saumaki for their Super Rugby campaign this year. The 25-year-old Tongan born winger is being dubbed ‘Tongan Gozilla’ by the Japanese media with comparisons to Julian Savea and Nemani Nadolo.

Standing 6’3 feet tall and weighing 106 kilos, Saumaki is a product of Japan’s domestic league and school rugby system. He only started playing professionally last year for the Tokyo based Cannon Eagles.

The Sunwolves have also newly signed another powerful Tongan back, Will Tupou (27), who stands 6’5 feet and weighs 104kgs.
