PM remains in intensive care for sudden illness [1]

Tonga's Prime Minister Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva remains in the Intensive Care Unit of Vaiola Hospital, where he is being treated for what is understood to be a temporary ailment. Medical authorities said his condition was stable this morning.
The Prime Minister became ill last week and was admitted to the Medical Ward on Friday. His condition worsened on Sunday and he was admitted to the ICU yesterday where his condition stablized. A medical evacuation to Auckland was cancelled yesterday.
Dr Sione Latu said the illness was something acquired last week and the Prime Minister was receiving treatment, which was resolving the illness.
Hon. Pohiva remains in the ICU today, Tuesday, and it is not known when he will be released.
